I'm a big sister! School here we come!

This week has just flown by...WOW!

Our new addition to our family came on August 23. Exactly one month early. His name is Kahler James and we are doing great. Adjusting to being a family of 6!!!!

Keegan, Kohen and Kennedy all started school this week. The boys attend Countryside Elementary. Keegan is in 2nd Grade and Kohen is in Kindergarten. We love the staff there and our kids love going to school. We are blessed.

Kennedy began her first week at the Conductive Learning Center (CLC). We are so excited about this spectacular school. The conductors (teachers/therapists) are just amazing. They are pushing our kiddos beyond what we expect as parents. Kirk has attended off and on this week with Kennedy.

On Tuesday, I waited patiently for them to get home at 2:30. I couldn't wait to hear how it went, what Kirk thought and how Kennedy did. Kirk was of few words and I just couldn't understand why. Kirk and I attended Wednesday morning and then I understood why Kirk had so few words. It was just overwhelming to try to describe all that we saw, impossible to describe how it felt, and there were many times that WE wiped tears from our eyes and it was only day two.

Entering this program Kennedy is unable to do anything independently. We put her in assisted seating, in bed, in a stroller, in a walker or lay her on the floor. We give her toys and often assist her so that she can enjoy them. We read books to her. We brush her hair, teeth and care for every physical need. She is still in diapers and if she does use the potty it is with our complete assistance. We feed her every bite and drink. I tell you all of this because I want you to enjoy her progress as we see her grow and change. We love and enjoy Kennedy! She is silly, happy, fun, spirited, and hard working! To be honest we didn't even realize all that we do for her.
